bestillmyheart at 05:31pm on 13/01/2005From what i can see so far, it seems like i'm the only one on my flist who has seen Elektra. I'm just going to make some really general comments, but if you feel the need to skip this entry for now, then do so. [Note: Room is EXTREMELY hot. Strung words together to resemble somewhat sentences]
I arrived at the Greater Unions at around 10:30am because i thought the first session was on then, but in fact the first session started at 10:50am, so i bummed around a bit before i saw it. There actually weren't that many people there, and those that were there, well, it was mostly guys.
The movie was enjoyable unlike 'Daredevil' which i had a hard time focusing on, and i didn't find it that boring because i wasn't fidgeting throughout the movie. It was definitely action-packed, lots of fighting etc (my cousin at one point even asked if it was actually Jennifer doing the stunts, to which i replied "HELL YEA!") however, i thought it somewhat lacked a story because i thought there would be more than just protecting Mark and Abby Miller.
I also thought the movie moved quite quickly i.e. killing of villians. It was like "Hi we're the villians." Fights and BOOM they're dead. There wasn't that much killing also (aside from destroying the members of THE HAND), which i thought they would show as Elektra's past or something. I also assumed the bo stick fight present in all the trailers was made much more significant in the film, however it was really really quick.
I totally digged the fighting scenes and the 'lesbian kiss' scene. I loved the special effects ( oh yea i'm a special effects kinda girl! ) - tattoo guy was awesome. :) Oh, i also loved Christophe Beck's scores (you know, the guy that did most of the scores on Buffy?). The movie wasn't that heavy with stuff from the soundtrack (unless i was too fascinated with the fact that Jennifer was on the big screen!) which i was a bit disappointed about because the soundtrack list sounds awesome.
I adored the character of Abby - she's adorable! (i soooo knew about the treasure!) Jennifer was great (like always). Goran was yummy.
And i loved Elektra's outfits. *nods*
Well, i hoped you guys enjoyed the film! THIS ROOM'S TOOO FUCKING HOT!
P.S YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD JEN ON LENO. I CAN'T BELIEVE JAY ASKED HER IF SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND. LOL. MATT!!!!
